How are decorative edgings made?

Mowing Edge is a range of eco-friendly garden edgings made from recycled rubber (TÜV Nord certified), from a sustainable source of recycled tires from passenger cars and trucks collected from landfills. The rubber granulate is collected from used tires and transformed into useful products for your garden. Thanks to the rubber, the edgings are flexible and resistant in any weather, including extreme heat or extreme cold. It does not lose or change color over the years.

Installing the garden edging

You can install the edging flush with the ground or let part of it protrude. Before laying the edging, it is advisable to dig around the area you will be edging. This will cut through the roots of plants that could grow under the edging, and at the same time mark out the space where you will place the edging and how you will shape it.

Each edging piece has a length of 120 cm and can be cut to the desired length as needed. Attach the border to the ground using pegs, which you drive into the holes in the border with a rubber mallet. If you are shaping the edging, insert the pegs gradually from the edge so that the edging bends more easily.

Suitable accessories

In addition to the edging itself, garden fabrics will also come in handy when laying it. The most common types include geotextile and non-woven mulching fabric. The fabric most often serves as a separating layer, which also prevents weeds from growing through. The fabrics are resistant to mold and rot.
