Arched greenhouse LEGI Basil Profi with dimensions of 2 m x 3 m and a height of 2.10 m made of polycarbonate is manufactured from galvanized steel tubes 20 x 20 mm, which meet extremely high quality standards. The advantage of the Basil Profi greenhouse is that no welding is used during its production. A special technology is used for joining the arches, allowing quick and efficient connection of the tubes.

Construction

LEGI Basil Profi is made of galvanized steel tubes with a thickness of 20 x 20 mm, which meet extremely high quality standards. The glazing / cladding of the greenhouse consists of clear hollow-chamber (twin-wall) polycarbonate with a thickness of 4 mm with UV protection, which has increased thermal insulation properties compared to commonly sold greenhouses. The polycarbonate is resistant to UV radiation as well as ordinary hail. It is attached to the greenhouse frame using pressure discs. The polycarbonate meets all health safety requirements. The polycarbonate comes with a 3-year warranty against hail damage. If you choose the variant with the wider PROFI 6mm glazing, you will get a 10-year warranty on the polycarbonate.

The greenhouse has one front door and two ventilation windows. The greenhouse can additionally be complemented with Guttagarden blocks, which can be used to create a path through the middle of the greenhouse.

Deciding between 4 mm or 6 mm polycarbonate?

With 6 mm polycarbonate, the greenhouse of course has greater overall resistance to weather conditions. At the same time, thermal insulation properties are improved by roughly 20-30%. However, this naturally comes with a higher price for the greenhouse with 6 mm polycarbonate, specifically about 20% more. But if you don't live on a mountain ridge or grow very demanding plants in your greenhouse, the 4 mm glazing variant is often sufficient.

Assembly

The greenhouse is offered in four sizes, or rather in four lengths - 2, 4, 6 or 8 meters. The width of the greenhouse is always 3 meters. It is also possible to purchase an extension module with a length of 2 m. The LEGI Basil Profi garden greenhouse is supplied as a kit. Assembly is not difficult and anyone can manage it. The front and rear parts of the greenhouse are assembled using the KRAB system. This ensures extreme strength of the frame profiles. Thanks to the materials used and the way they are joined, a very stable structure of the greenhouse is created without the need for foundations. M5 screws are used to join the profiles.

Each shipment consists of a box with material, a package of profiles with a base, a package of profiles with arches (all these packages state how many m² of greenhouse they cover), and the corresponding number of polycarbonate sheets measuring 6 × 2.1 m. One piece is always used for cutting the front sections, the other sheets are not cut - they are intended for covering the arches.
