Edging prevents soil washout from flower beds and plants growing outside the designated area. How are the decorative edgings made?

Bricks is a line of eco-friendly garden edgings made from recycled rubber (TÜV Nord certified), from a sustainable source of recycled tires from passenger cars and trucks, collected from landfills. Rubber granulate is collected from used tires and transformed into useful products for your garden. Thanks to the rubber, the edgings are flexible and resistant to any weather, including extreme heat or extreme cold. It does not lose or change color over the years.

Installing garden edging

You can install the edging level with the ground or leave part of it protruding. Before laying the edging, it is advisable to dig around the area you will be edging. This will cut through the roots of plants that could grow under the edging and will also mark out the space where you will place the edging and how you will shape it.

Each edging piece is 120 cm long and can be cut to the required length as needed. Attach the edging to the ground using pins. If using more than 1 piece of edging, use the connector included in the set to join two sections. When shaping the edging, insert the pins gradually from the edge so that the edging bends more easily.

Suitable accessories

In addition to the edging itself, garden textiles are also useful when laying it. The most common types are geotextile and non-woven mulching fabric. Textile most often serves as a separating layer, which also prevents weed growth. Textiles are not susceptible to mold or rot. Garden textiles are installed under the edging and are secured by the anchoring pins themselves through the edging. Garden textile separates the lower layer, formed by soil, and the upper layer, most often formed by mulching bark, decorative pebbles, paving, etc.
