The GEL (gel) series battery is designed, among other things, for: powering photovoltaic systems or vehicles, where the battery is exposed to shocks and charging from pulse sources such as solar controllers. Thanks to its gel electrolyte-based construction, the GEL battery is ideal for cyclic operation even with deep discharge. Compared to AGM batteries, it achieves several times more discharge cycles. The design life is up to 12 years in equilibration operation at 25 °C.
- The GEL battery has a similar structure to an AGM battery, with the difference that in a gel battery the electrolyte is stored as a gel paste. Thanks to this construction, it is more resistant to electrolyte leakage than AGM batteries.
- Automatic sealing system. When the pressure inside the battery is too high, the valves open, safely venting the resulting gas outside the casing and preventing damage. This occurs when the battery is overloaded
