GEL series batteries are designed to power photovoltaic systems or vehicles, where the battery is exposed to shocks and pulsed charging sources such as solar controllers. Thanks to the gel electrolyte, the GEL battery is ideal for cyclic operation, even under deep discharge conditions. It achieves several times more discharge cycles compared to AGM batteries. The design life is up to 12 years in storage operation at 25 °C.
Key features:
Gel batteries have a similar structure to AGM batteries, with the difference that the electrolyte is stored in a gel paste. Thanks to this design, it is more resistant to electrolyte leakage than AGM batteries.
Automatic sealing system. When the pressure inside the battery rises too much, the valves open, safely releasing the resulting gas from the casing and preventing damage. This occurs when the battery is overloaded.
The battery case is made of ABS material, the cells are made of copper
