The GEL battery series is designed, among other things, for: powering photovoltaic systems or vehicles, where the battery is exposed to vibrations and charging from pulse sources, e.g. solar controllers. Thanks to its gel electrolyte-based construction, the GEL battery is ideal for cyclic operation, including deep discharges. It achieves several times more discharge cycles compared to batteries made with AGM technology. The designed lifespan is up to 12 years with float operation at 25 °C.
- The GEL battery has a similar structure to an AGM battery, except that in the gel battery the electrolyte is stored in the form of a gel paste. Thanks to this construction, it features better resistance to electrolyte leakage than AGM batteries
- Automatic sealing system. When the pressure inside the battery is too high, the valves open, causing the resulting gas to be safely vented outside the casing, preventing damage. This occurs when the battery is overcharged
- The battery casing is made of ABS material, the cells are made of copper
