PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Separating foils are used in floor structures built using the so-called "wet process" to prevent water and moisture from the fresh screed penetrating into the floor structure. The grid separating foil is designed specifically for applications with electric underfloor heating – the printed grid significantly simplifies the laying of HAKL heating cables.

The separating foil is laid directly on the thermal insulation, with edges overlapping by 5-10 cm and extending up adjoining vertical structures to a height of approx. 10 cm. When laying the foil, all joints must be thoroughly taped to prevent screed from leaking under the separating foil. Fixing elements for the heating cables (e.g. plastic clips) that pass through the separating foil into the thermal insulation do not need to be additionally sealed. Only if a fixing element is removed for any reason should the remaining holes in the foil be taped over.

NOTE: the foil is not UV-resistant, protect it from direct sunlight.
