The CAPO ground hand auger with a thread diameter of 100 mm is the ideal helper if you are about to plant shrubs or trees, or if you are building a fence and need to fix new posts.
This hand auger is characterized by its shape. The auger consists of a rubberized handle, which is welded to the shaft and blade in the shape of a "T". Combined with hardened boron steel, this construction allows more force to be applied when digging holes. However, thanks to the thread design, this will otherwise be relatively easy.

How to use the auger
Insert the tip of the auger at the spot where you plan to dig the hole so that the thread touches the ground. Turning it clockwise will make the auger start drilling into the ground. In the video below, you can see how the CAPO auger works. Unlike a hand auger with a spiral shape (first part of the video), there is no significant spilling of soil. It layers up in the hole being dug, which means less effort is required.Current auger models are already equipped with a marking line on the shaft, thanks to which you know when you have reached the desired depth. Choosing the auger diameter
CAPO augers are manufactured in 5 different variants with thread diameters from 100 to 250 mm. The thread diameter determines how wide the dug hole will be. The diameters of the most commonly sold fence posts are up to 50 mm, which is why an auger up to 150 mm will be sufficient for fixing posts. On the other hand, when planting new shrubs, trees, or perennials in the garden, it is recommended to dig holes with diameters from 20 cm, in which case you should choose an auger with a larger diameter.
All other auger parameters are identical.
Boron steel and extended 5-year warranty
CAPO tools are made from ultra-hardened boron steel (also known as Finnish steel). This gives the cylinders excellent strength and long-term resistance to material wear, which even under otherwise unfavorable conditions results in a significantly long service life.
This is also why the manufacturer provides an extended five-year warranty on CAPO brand products. If a defect occurs on the cylinder at any time within the first five years of use, send it to us and we will promptly send you a new, undamaged product in return.
What to buy along with the auger
Unlike motorized augers, CAPO hand augers are characterized by easy use and are maintenance-free. No additional accessories are needed to drill holes. However, for greater comfort while digging holes, we recommend getting work gloves. For precise measuring of fence post hole locations, a level, tape measure, measuring tape, or string can also come in handy. You can deal with smaller stones in the ground using a crowbar.
When planting plants in the garden, soil with the necessary nutrients for growth may come in handy, which you can further work with using a shovel or a rake.
Packaging and delivery method
We will deliver the product to you by standard parcel delivery and it will be packaged so that it is not damaged during transport. The actual packaging method depends on the number of ordered pieces and other items in the order. A single cylinder will most often be packed in a cardboard box and stretch film.
