    PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

    The HAKL BD 10v electric storage water heater with a water volume of 10 litres is designed for installation with the connection outlets positioned at the bottom (reverse connection will damage the heater). 
    The factory-fitted thermal fuse provides a higher level of protection for the heating element against overheating in critical situations. The frost-protection fuse function prevents the water in the heater from freezing. The package for HAKL BD 10v storage water heaters includes a safety valve and installation accessories (heater bracket, screws and anchors).

     

    A long service life of the tank is guaranteed by the double layer of BLUE DIAMOND enamel applied to the thick steel tank and the built-in anode rod.

     

     

    CONNECTING THE HEATER

    The HAKL BDv storage water heater is recommended for installation in spaces used only in summer (outdoor terraces, garages...).  
    If a drain valve is installed, it is very easy to drain the water from the heater before winter,  without needing to remove it.

    SUITABILITY TABLE

    To make it easier to choose the right storage water heater model, the manufacturer has prepared a clear suitability table. It is sorted by tank volume and type of use - how demanding it is in terms of water consumption.
    Electric storage water heaters heat water using a 1.5 or 2 kW heating element. Such a low power input is possible because they heat water by storing it in a tank. Their main advantage is that they can be connected to the electrical network with a plug and low-rated fuse. Unlike instant water heaters, however, only a limited amount of hot water in the tank can be used. The water temperature in the tank can be set to the required level. The higher the temperature, the more water can be diluted with cold water, achieving a larger overall volume of water. However, keep in mind that a higher set temperature also means higher operating costs.
    When choosing a storage water heater, the intended use must be taken into account. For example, showering requires up to three times as much water to be heated as washing hands, so it is important to choose the correct volume of the storage water heater.
