PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

HAKL BG 100v3 TURBO electric storage water heaters with a water capacity of 100 litres. These heaters belong to the product range of pressurised tanks with a steel body. The additional designation "V" (BGv) means a vertical design with a cylindrical shape, which is why the water temperature control and the heater's connection outlets are located on the underside of the casing. The package for the HAKL BGv3 storage water heaters also includes a safety valve and a universal bracket for mounting the heater.

More output, the same consumption. The HAKL BGv3 Turbo, with its 3 kW heating coil, heats water considerably faster than the HAKL BGv with a 2 kW coil. Thanks to the shorter heating time, the total electricity consumption, calculated in kW/h, remains almost unchanged, since the higher output heats the same amount of water more quickly.

A long service life for the tank is guaranteed by the double layer of titanium enamel and the built-in anode rod. The factory-fitted thermal fuse provides an extra level of protection for the coil against overheating in critical situations. The frost-protection fuse function prevents the water in the heater from freezing and thus prevents damage to the tank. The thermostat, set in this way, does not switch on the coil at normal room temperature, but in the event of a significant drop in room temperature it safely protects the heater from freezing.

The manufacturer recommends installing a drain valve, which makes it very easy to drain the water from the heater during maintenance.

SUITABILITY TABLE

To make it easier to choose the right model of storage water heater, the manufacturer has prepared a clear suitability table. It is sorted by tank capacity and the type of use - how demanding the water consumption is.

Electric storage water heaters heat water using a 3 kW heating coil. Such a low power draw is possible because they heat the water into storage in the tank. Their main advantage is that they can be connected to the electrical network using a plug and with low-rated fusing. Unlike instantaneous water heaters, however, only a limited amount of hot water is available in the tank. The water temperature in the tank can be set to the required level. The higher the temperature, the more water can be diluted with cold water, achieving a greater total volume of usable water. It should be noted, however, that a higher set temperature also means higher operating costs.

When choosing a storage water heater, the intended use must be taken into account. For example, showering requires heating up to three times as much water as washing your hands, so it is important to choose the right tank capacity for the storage water heater.
