HAKL - electric floor heating cable for ceramic tiles, vinyl glue-down parquet, length 123m, 1230 W
Code: INT_HK TCX 10-1230Product detailed description
Electric floor heating cable HAKL TCX 10 with one connecting cable, designed to be embedded in a concrete mix under the floor covering.
These HAKL TCX 10 cables have an output of 10 W per metre of cable. They are connected to the mains via one 3-metre connecting cable. For the most efficient operation, it is advisable to install a HAKL TH thermostat with a floor sensor in every room. You can also save energy, and thus money, by properly choosing the floor covering and sufficient thermal insulation beneath the underfloor heating. Thanks to maintenance-free operation, HAKL underfloor heating meets even the most demanding requirements for quality and comfort.
Before installation, the manufacturer recommends reading the installation manual carefully, where you will find a detailed description of the product and its wiring.
HAKL TCX 10 heating cables feature a high-quality heating core - the resistance wire is from the renowned Swedish manufacturer KANTHAL. The sheath of the TCX 10 heating cable has a diameter of 6 mm. It is thicker than the cable used in the TF and TFX heating mats. A cable of this size withstands sharp stone fragments found in the concrete mix. It is made of highly heat-resistant material, which does not deform even during prolonged heating. When the underfloor heating is connected without a thermostat, the heating cable heats up to a maximum of 65°C, while its melting point is as high as 1100 °C.
The heating cables themselves are protected by a dense metal protective braid, which increases their durability and allows installation in damp areas (bathroom, WC...).
Features:
• designed for wet installation, embedded in a concrete mix
• heating cable thickness 6 mm
• suitable for ceramic tiles, vinyl glue-down parquet and more
• fastened using fixing strips
• the cable's protective braid allows installation in damp areas
• ideal for new buildings, with a greater thickness of the concrete layer
• can also be used as the main heat source in a room
• maintenance-free operation, no need for regular servicing
• high-quality heating cores with a melting point of up to 1100 °C
• every product undergoes a strict final inspection test
Floor composition:
HAKL TCX 10 heating cables are designed for wet installation, embedded in a concrete mix with a maximum thickness of 8 cm. With this floor build-up, so-called "storage heating" is achieved. The heating cable is placed under the concrete layer, above the thermal insulation. This floor composition means that the thermal energy accumulated in the concrete radiates heat into the room for a long time after the heating is switched off. HAKL TCX 10 heating cables are recommended for installation as the main heat source in new buildings, where raising the floor level is not an issue.

Quality certificate:
Every single heating cable is subjected to a final load test, during which the joints are tested and the insulation breakdown and total cable resistance are measured, etc...
This record of the unit tests is stated in the Quality Certificate. The product must meet the parameters 100% in order to leave the production line.
SUITABILITY TABLE - see attachment
To make it easier to choose the right model of electric underfloor heating, the manufacturer has prepared a clear suitability table.
Electric underfloor heating is divided into two main groups: electric heating cables and aluminium/mesh heating mats.
The heating cable group has an output of 10 W per metre of cable. They are designed for wet installation, embedded in a concrete mix. With this floor build-up, so-called "STORAGE HEATING" is achieved.
The second group consists of aluminium and mesh heating mats, with an output of 100 to 150 W per square metre. They are designed for wet installation, embedded in adhesive directly under the floor covering, or they can be laid loose without the need for embedding. With this floor build-up, so-called "DIRECT HEATING" is achieved.
When choosing electric underfloor heating, the building's parameters must be taken into account; in a new building it is possible to raise the floor level by 5 to 8 cm by embedding the cables in a concrete mix, but in a renovation the thickness for embedding in adhesive is only about 1.5 cm.
