Starter bacteria
Filter Pond 500g
are naturally concentrated multi-species bacteria designed to boost filtration and start up your pond after winter. Filter bacteria together with proper filtration are essential for maintaining water clarity in the pond and its healthy, stable environment for fish.
The bacteria contain microorganisms that colonize the filter medium in the filtration system, subsequently forming a biofilm that cleans the water of nutrients and various impurities.
Application of the product:
The Filter Pond bacterial product must first be mixed in a plastic container with pond water and then poured into the first section, where mechanical cleaning takes place. In the case of pressurized systems, we recommend injecting the bacteria right at the water inlet to the filter.
For ponds equipped with a gravel filter with a plant regeneration zone, it is recommended to evenly pour the bacterial solution over the entire area of this zone.
Pond chemicals should be applied to water warmer than 10 °C.
