Electrician's screwdrivers are individually tested in water at 10,000 V and undergo the following 5 batch test phases: - designed and tested according to international standards, bi-material handle allows comfortable use - pressed insulation discs - shaft made of high-quality alloy steel - insulation up to 10,000 V AC.
HIGH SAFETY AND COMFORT: When working on live electrical equipment, it is necessary to have properly insulated tools that we can really rely on. Our new VDE 1000 insulated screwdriver is the answer to the strict requirements of the market. Comfort is essential. The screwdriver features a two-component, ergonomically shaped handle characterized by its red-and-yellow coloring. The tools are individually tested to meet the IEC 900, STN EN 60900 and VDE 0680/02 standards.
FLAMMABILITY TEST: The tools are tested for non-flammability, thus eliminating fire risks.
FORCE TEST: The tools are tested to withstand a load force of 20 N and a temperature of up to +70°C during a 5000 V AC voltage test.
ELECTRICAL TEST: The tools are immersed in water for 24 hours and then connected to 10,000 V for 3 minutes to rule out any insulation breakdown or defect.
FROST RESISTANCE TEST: The tools are tested for impact resistance at temperatures of -40°C. The insulation material protects the tool against impacts even at extreme temperatures.
INSULATION ADHESION TEST: The adhesion of the insulation to the tool itself is tested to withstand even heavy loads.
