Hydra Rainmaster RAH Duo A self-cleaning water treatment unit that achieves a high level of water purification by applying a self-cleaning filter with 90 micron filtration and final water treatment with activated carbon with a filtration rate of 10 micron, which is able to remove odour and discolouration from water. This unit is designed to treat rainwater that, due to its quality, is not suitable for utility purposes, but it can also be used to filter water from a well or a collection tank. The materials used are suitable for use with drinking water, but they are NOT a source of drinking water. Cleaning HYDRA self-cleaning filters are characterised by a counter-current cleaning system for effectively removing deposits from the surface of the cartridge. When the filter cartridge becomes clogged, it is cleaned simply by opening the valve at the bottom of the filter body. This operation creates negative pressure in the filter, which pushes the cartridge downward, automatically reversing the flow of water out of the cartridge. Note: self-cleaning of the cartridge using negative pressure is only possible at a minimum water pressure of 1.8 bar.
