Hydra Rainmaster RLH Trio A self-cleaning water treatment unit that achieves a high level of water purification by applying a self-cleaning filter with 90-micron filtration. It also has additional 25-micron filtration and final water treatment with activated carbon at a filtration rate of 10 microns, which is able to remove odour and discolouration from the water. This unit is designed to treat rainwater, which by its quality is not suitable for utility purposes, but it can also be used for filtering water from a well or a collection tank. The materials used are suitable for use with drinking water, but they are NOT a source of drinking water. Cleaning HYDRA self-cleaning filters feature a backwash cleaning system for effectively removing deposits from the cartridge surface. When the filter cartridge is clogged, it is cleaned simply by opening the valve at the bottom of the filter body. This operation creates a vacuum in the filter that pushes the cartridge downward, automatically reversing the flow of water out of the cartridge. Note: self-cleaning of the cartridge using vacuum is only possible at a minimum water pressure of 1.8 bar.
