In-depth 3-stage water filtration

HYDRION uses three successive filtration stages to ensure maximum purity and proper mineralization of the water. Each stage has a specific function:

1. Pre-filtration: 4-in-1 inlet filter cartridge – The 4-in-1 pre-filter cartridge combines four technologies in one compact module: a layer of PP fiber, pressed polypropylene (PP), a carbon block and an anti-scale medium against limescale. The PP layers capture mechanical impurities such as sand, rust and sediment down to 5-micron fineness, while the active carbon block removes chlorine and organic chemicals. The anti-scale component prevents limescale formation and protects the osmotic membrane. In this way, it ensures clean water already in the first step and extends the membrane's lifespan.
   
   
2. Molecular filtration: 1000 GPD osmotic membrane – A semi-permeable membrane with a capacity of 3.78 m³/h (1000 GPD) is the heart of the second filtration stage. It uses microscopic pores to separate water molecules from impurities at the molecular level. It removes almost all dissolved substances, including heavy metals (lead, mercury), nitrates, hardness (excess calcium and magnesium causing limescale) and microorganisms. This phase creates the basis for crystal clear water and prepares it for optimized mineralization in the third stage.
   
   
3. Post-filtration: 3-in-1 outlet filter cartridge with mineralization – The final 3-in-1 filter cartridge combines a high-quality coconut shell carbon block, a mineralization bed and an innovative MNX magnesium bed. This module optimizes pH, enriches the water with alkaline minerals (calcium and magnesium) removed during osmosis, and improves the taste and smell of the water. Thanks to remineralization, the water is balanced and suitable for daily consumption.
