HydroSoft COMFORT 1.2 Water Softener for Professional Use

The single-module HydroSoft COMFORT 1.2 water softener is used for central treatment of hard water.

Water softening runs smoothly thanks to the automatic control valve HYS-34-Comfort, which carries out the entire regeneration process fully automatically without the need for maintenance supervision. The control valve usually performs regeneration at night after the set capacity has been used up.

The capacity, or the volume of treated water, is monitored by a small water meter turbine at the outlet of the control valve.

A major advantage of the control valve is that during regeneration it supplies raw water, so if necessary, the household or building will not be left without water. Another advantage is the raw water blending function (this can be set directly on the control valve). This function serves to leave a certain amount of calcium and magnesium in the water (hardness of around 5 German degrees - 5 °dH).

As for operation, it is important to make sure there is always enough salt in the brine tank, which is essential for the proper course of regeneration.

The optimal size of the softening unit for a household should be selected based on capacity so that the unit performs regeneration once, or at most twice a week. In this case, the cost ratio in terms of the price of the selected unit size and salt consumption is most optimal.

1. Resin disinfection - The control valve connects directly to the disinfection unit to enable disinfection of the resin bed (can be ordered separately). This disinfection unit uses free chlorine generated from the salt solution to disinfect the softening media during every regeneration. This process is standard in several European countries.
2. Bypass valve - It is possible to order a bypass valve separately, which allows the unit to be disconnected from the water system. This part can be useful in cases where the unit needs to be moved, for example when replacing the cation resin, painting the walls behind the unit, and similar situations.
