IBO 24L Expansion Vessel for Heating and DHW Systems
Code: PR_38798Product detailed description
Pressure expansion vessels operate on a thermostatic principle and serve as safety devices allowing the volume of water to expand due to temperature in a closed heating system. The expansion vessel is divided into two chambers by a rubber diaphragm or bladder. One chamber is intended for water from the heating system, the other is filled with gas under the pressure indicated on the vessel's label. Installation of the expansion vessel: The static water height in the system at the point where the expansion vessel is installed must not be higher than the gas pressure indicated on the vessel's label. The maximum water temperature in the vessel is 99 °C. As the volume of water in the heating system increases due to rising temperature, the air space in the expansion vessel decreases and the pressure in the heating system increases. To prevent pressure fluctuations from exceeding safe limits, the pressure expansion vessel must be correctly sized! Advantages of pressure expansion vessels: - Pressure expansion vessels are smaller in size compared to non-pressurized (open) expansion vessels. - They are placed next to the boiler, eliminating the need for installation under the roof and thus the risk of the water freezing. - The closed heating system prevents losses of circulating water through evaporation, its oxygenation and thus corrosion of the heating system. - The rubber bladder is made of special rubber. - The filling gas pressure is 1.5 bar.Additional parameters
