IBO 80l Expansion Vessel for Heating, Pressure Vessel
Code: PR_38957Product detailed description
Expansion pressure vessels work on a thermostatic principle and serve as safety devices that accommodate the increase in water volume caused by temperature changes in a closed heating system. The expansion vessel is divided into two chambers by a rubber diaphragm or bladder. One chamber is intended for water from the heating system, while the other is filled with gas under the pressure marked on the vessel's label. Installing the expansion vessel: The static water height in the system at the point where the expansion vessel is installed must not exceed the gas pressure marked on the vessel's label. The maximum water temperature in the vessel is 99 °C. As the volume of water in the heating system increases due to rising temperature, the air space in the expansion vessel shrinks and the pressure in the heating system rises. To keep pressure fluctuations within safe limits, the expansion pressure vessel must be correctly sized! Advantages of expansion pressure vessels: - Expansion pressure vessels are smaller than open (non-pressurised) expansion tanks. - They are installed next to the boiler, eliminating the need for installation in the roof space and the risk of the water freezing. - A closed heating system prevents circulating water losses through evaporation and its oxygenation, which in turn prevents corrosion of the heating system. - The rubber bladder is made from special rubber. - The gas charge pressure is 1.5 bar.Additional parameters
