HydroTreat Birm Water Filter for Iron and Manganese with Manual Control

The HydroTreat filtration device filled with BIRM media and equipped with manual control is used for the efficient removal of iron and manganese from drinking water.

Important operating conditions:

Media capacity	1.4 g Fe/liter
Backwash rate	25 - 30 m/h
pH range	6.8 - 9.0
Bed height	90 cm

Iron equivalent (mg/l):
1× Fe content + 2× Mn content
Required filtration area (m2):
volume (m³/h) / filtration rate (m/h)

Hydrogen sulfide must be removed before the filter.

The dissolved oxygen content should be at least 15% of the iron content.
