An ideal combination of meadow flowers from Alpine lowlands and foothills, which stands out around cottages or on slopes. It prefers sunny locations, but can also tolerate mild shade. One 1 kg package is enough to sow 100 m². The most suitable time for sowing is spring or autumn. First, spread the seeds evenly, gently work them into the soil, rake thoroughly and roll.

Important :

True natural plants grow more slowly in the first year. The meadow will therefore fully bloom only from the second year and is very durable. Already in the first year after sowing, it is necessary to mow the growth more often, approximately 4 - 6 cm above the surface. From the second year, it is ideal to mow whenever the flowers stop blooming.

Notice :

The seed of a true flower meadow is characterized by very slow development in the first season. Therefore, do not oversow the meadow seed into an already existing lawn and do not mix it with common grass mixtures. There is a high probability that the meadow flowers would be suppressed.

First, it is advisable to remove old growth, weeds and stones. The top layer needs to be loosened, thoroughly watered, 2 cm of lawn substrate applied, and left to settle for about a week. It should then be rolled. Finally, it is good to level the soil with a rake to loosen the top layer of soil.

For an ideal result, it is advisable to cover the area with hay after sowing, in order to create an ideal climate for all the flowers in the package to sprout.

The ideal time for planting a new lawn is (in an average year) the turn of April/May, or in autumn in September/October.

Watering :

During the germination of the grass seed (the first 14-28 days), the area needs to be watered regularly and abundantly so that the seeded area does not completely dry out even for a short time, ideally in the morning and evening. Water must not stand on the surface. The best results are achieved by using automatic irrigation set to shorter watering intervals per day. In case of a longer dry period, it is necessary to intensify irrigation.

Maintenance :

Before planting the lawn, also consider laying a mole netting (approximately 3-4 cm below the surface, ideally under the substrate) to ensure that all your work does not ultimately go to waste because of this unwanted visitor.
