LEGI ESTRAGON Garden Greenhouse 6 x 3 m, 6 mm
Code: JEZ_GA179976-6MMProduct detailed description
The arched greenhouse by LEGI ESTRAGON 6 x 3 m made of polycarbonate is made from extra sturdy galvanized steel tubes (profiles) 20 x 20 mm. The galvanized finish protects the greenhouse frame against corrosion. The profile is galvanized on both the outer and inner side. Welded joints are treated with zinc coating. Thanks to these parameters, the greenhouse stands out with its durability and robustness. Load resistance (snow, etc.) is up to 100 kg/m2 - suitable for medium and higher altitude areas. (above 500 m above sea level)
Greenhouse glazing is made of clear hollow (multiwall) polycarbonate with a thickness of 6 mm with UV protection, thanks to which it does not become brittle or yellow. The polycarbonate is certified and meets all health safety requirements.
Deciding between 4 mm or 6 mm polycarbonate?
With 6 mm polycarbonate, the greenhouse naturally has greater overall resistance to weather effects. At the same time, thermal insulation properties are improved by roughly 20-30%. Naturally, the price of a greenhouse with 6 mm polycarbonate is higher, specifically by about 20%. However, unless you live in mountain ridge areas or grow very demanding plants in the greenhouse, the 6 mm glazing variant is often sufficient.

Assembly
Anchoring the greenhouse is possible in two ways - burying it in the ground or anchoring it to a concrete foundation. When anchoring in the ground, the overlapping profiles are buried in a trench in the ground up to the aforementioned base profile. For burying, excavated soil is sufficient, or we recommend sand or gravel for reinforcement. When anchoring to a concrete foundation or lost formwork, the profiles intended for burying are not used. The individual ends of the greenhouse arches are anchored to the concrete base using so-called angle profiles (not included in the package).
The greenhouse uses an original connecting system and profiles, and building this greenhouse is simpler compared to others. Another advantage of the LEGI Estragon greenhouse is the already assembled greenhouse fronts, which are supplied as 1 piece, to which only the doors and polycarbonate need to be attached. For the actual construction of the greenhouse, we recommend allocating a whole day for two people. Construction is not technically demanding, but due to the robustness of the frame and the precision of cutting the polycarbonate, it requires relatively more time. The assembly manual can be downloaded here: LEGI Estragon Assembly Manual
In addition to taping the greenhouse fronts, it is also advisable to tape the longitudinal sides of the greenhouse with ventilation tape. These can be sealed during greenhouse assembly. Therefore, do not forget to purchase 1 extra package of ventilation tape (length 33 m) for this purpose.
Packaging
Each shipment consists of a box with material, a package of profiles and the appropriate number of polycarbonate sheets measuring 6 × 2.1 m. One sheet is always used for cutting the front pieces, other sheets are not cut - they are intended to cover the arches.
The contents of the package for individual greenhouse lengths are listed in the table below.
| Greenhouse dimensions | Number of sheets | Weight |
|---|---|---|
| 4 x 3 m | 3 pcs | 84 kg |
| 6 x 3 m | 4 pcs | 108 kg |
