LEGI grass grid pavers are mainly used for reinforcing grassy surfaces. The paver's construction system, which uses anchoring pins and quality locks, ensures maximum stability when driving or parking vehicles, while not preventing rainwater from soaking in. Compared to concrete pavers, LEGI allows for more greenery (over 80%), creating a natural look for the surface.

The pavers are used for grassing over driveways to garages, terraces, and other green areas. They ensure fixation of embankments, slopes, walkways, and parking areas. Thanks to their strong locks, they can also be used on gentle slopes (approx. 10°). For example, as a transition to water areas or as a step for barrier-free access.

The pavers are made of eco-friendly 100% recyclable polyethylene (HDPE), which is UV stable and highly resistant to weather. They can be purchased individually.

Installation

The pavers are very easy to lay - layers of gravel, geotextile, sand, the paver itself, and soil are stacked. The height of the gravel is determined according to the load (passenger vehicles, trucks). Geotextile can be used as a separation layer, which is then covered with a layer of sand at least 5 cm thick. The pavers themselves are then laid on this layer, interlocking with one another. Grass grid pavers can be filled with a whole range of materials. If you want a green surface, we recommend using a soil mixture with a high humus content, mixed with grass seeds. The space in the pavers can also be filled with fine gravel or left empty – for example, when using the pavers as a temporary access road on a construction site or in industrial facilities.

Thanks to the locks, the individual pavers are firmly connected to each other and can also be used on gentle slopes. Perform the installation on a leveling layer, always starting at the lowest point and gradually moving toward the highest. If, despite the previous leveling of the surface, you still need to level out a part, you can use clay sand or a suitable mixture of fine grit and sand. Once you have covered the entire intended area with the grass grid pavers, carefully check the stability of the individual pavers. They must not move or bend. Ignoring this step may, in exceptional cases, cause the pavers to crack under heavier loads.

When laying the pavers, garden textiles will certainly come in handy. The most common types include geotextile and non-woven mulching textiles. Textiles are most often used as a separation layer that also prevents weed growth. Textiles do not mold or rot and are installed under the pavers.
