LEGI grass pavers are mainly used for reinforcing grassy areas. The construction system of the block, which uses anchoring pins and quality locks, ensures maximum stability when driving or parking vehicles while not hindering the absorption of rainfall. Compared to concrete blocks, LEGI allows greater greening (more than 80%), creating a natural look of the area.

The blocks are used for greening driveways to garages, terraces and other green areas. They ensure fixation of embankments, slopes, footpaths and parking areas. Thanks to their sturdy locks, they can also be used on gentle slopes (approx. 10°) as a transition, for example towards water areas or as a step for barrier-free access.

The blocks are made from ecological 100% recyclable polyethylene (HDPE), which is UV stable and highly resistant to adverse weather conditions.

Installation

The blocks are laid very simply - layers of gravel, geotextile, sand, the block itself and soil are placed on top of each other. The height of the gravel is determined by the load (passenger cars, trucks). Geotextile can be used as a separation layer, which is then covered with a layer of sand with a minimum thickness of 5 cm. The blocks themselves are laid on this layer, and are slotted into one another. You can fill the grass pavers with a whole range of materials. If you want to have a green surface, we recommend using a soil mixture with a high humus content, into which grass seeds will be added. The space in the blocks can also be filled with fine gravel or left empty - in case the blocks are used as a temporary road on a construction site or, for example, in industrial facilities.

Thanks to the locks, individual blocks are firmly connected to each other and can also be used as a transition onto gentle slopes. Perform installation on a leveling layer, always starting at the lowest point and gradually moving towards the highest. If, despite the previous leveling of the surface, you still need to level out some part, you can use clay sand or a suitable mixture of fine grit and sand. Once you have covered the entire intended area with grass pavers, very carefully check the stability of the individual blocks. They must not move or bend. Ignoring this step may, in exceptional cases under heavier loads, cause the blocks to crack.

When laying the blocks, garden textiles will certainly come in handy. The most common types include geotextile and non-woven mulching textiles. Textile is most often used as a separation layer, which also prevents weed growth. Textiles do not mold or rot and are installed under the blocks.
