Anchoring

When laying a plastic edging, it must be gradually anchored. You can choose from two options - plastic and metal nails. You will use plastic anchoring nails mainly for anchoring into ordinary ground - for example into loosened soil. Steel anchoring nails, on the other hand, are useful in places where you encounter denser ground – for example clay soil.

When installing a straight piece of plastic edging, 3 anchoring nails per meter are sufficient. However, if you are bending and shaping the edging, it is advisable to anchor the piece with 6 anchoring nails. Each 1-metre piece of LEGI edging always has 6 holes for nails. Both types of nails mentioned fit into these holes. An ordinary hammer is sufficient for driving in the nails.
