Sunlight passes through the solar cover and heats the water right below the surface. The bubbles act as lenses in sunlight, thereby increasing the water temperature. At night, they prevent evaporation of water and chemicals and cooling of the water. The solar cover also partially protects the pool against falling dirt. The solar cover is made of a black bubble polyethylene heat-insulating sheet. The solar cover is suitable for all pools with a water surface diameter of 4.57 m.
