Philips R400 Reverse Osmosis

Philips R400 is a compact reverse osmosis system designed primarily for preparing drinking water in an average household. Compared to the more powerful R600 model, it has a lower maximum flow rate, but still offers reliable filtration for a 2–4-member family. It features a 4-stage filtration system and an improved faucet with two filtration modes, so you can dispense both filtered and extra-purified water within seconds.

Tankless reverse osmosis ensures always fresh, filtered drinking water directly from the tap. Thanks to deep filtration down to 0.0001 microns, it effectively reduces chlorine, heavy metals, pesticides, microplastics and bacteria content while also reducing water hardness. The result is clean, great-tasting and convenient drinking water for the whole family – without carrying bottled water.

Two modes – drinking water or filtered water with minerals

The improved faucet offers two separate modes:

RO mode (purified water) – ideal for drinking, cooking, and preparing coffee and tea.

Sediment filtration mode – water passes through filtration without reverse osmosis, retaining more minerals while producing no wastewater. Suitable for rinsing food, washing dishes, and everyday kitchen use. This lets you adapt the system's use depending on what you currently need the water for.

Deep water filtration by reverse osmosis

The key element of the system is a reverse osmosis membrane with a filtration precision of 0.0001 μm. Combined with a 3-in-1 filter, it provides double filtration that:

• reduces chlorine and improves the taste and smell of water,
• reduces the amount of microplastics,
• significantly reduces bacteria and pesticides,
• helps reduce water hardness,
