Anchoring

Plastic edging needs to be gradually anchored while being laid. There are two options to choose from - plastic and metal pins. Plastic anchoring pins are mainly used for anchoring into common substrate - for example into loosened soil. Steel anchoring pins, on the other hand, are used in places where you encounter denser substrate - for example clay soil.

When installing a straight section of plastic edging, 3 anchoring pins per 1 meter are sufficient. However, if you are bending and shaping the edging, it is advisable to anchor the section with 6 anchoring pins. Each 1-meter section of edging always has 6 holes for pins. Both types of pins mentioned fit into these holes. An ordinary hammer is sufficient for driving in the pins.
