The plastic elbow, fitted with a 1/2" female thread on one side and a 1/2" male thread on the other, is used for irrigation systems as well as for piping in filtration units of swimming pools, ornamental ponds, fish ponds, fish farming areas, air conditioning installations and similar applications. This elbow is used where a 90° bend needs to be made.
Fittings made of hardened PVC are suitable for low-pressure irrigation systems, but their installation indoors on pressurized drinking water pipes is not recommended.
Hardened PVC fittings are mainly used for low-pressure irrigation systems, and are not recommended for indoor installation on pressurized drinking water pipes.
The threads of the plastic fitting need to be sealed with teflon tape or thread .
