The plastic elbow with two 1/2" male threads is used for irrigation systems as well as for piping in filtration systems of swimming ponds, pools, ornamental ponds, fish ponds, air conditioning distribution and similar. The elbow is used in places where a 90° bend is needed.
Fittings made of hardened PVC are used mainly in low-pressure irrigation systems, they are not recommended for indoor installation in pressurized drinking water pipelines.
The threads of the plastic fitting need to be sealed with teflon tape or thread .
