The plastic elbow with two female threads is used for irrigation systems as well as for piping in filtration systems of swimming ponds, pools, decorative reservoirs, fish ponds, air conditioning piping and similar. The elbow is used where a 90° bend is needed.
Hardened PVC fittings are intended primarily for low-pressure irrigation systems; they are not suitable for indoor installation on pressurized drinking water piping.
The threads of the plastic fitting need to be sealed with Teflon tape or thread .
