The plastic elbow with two 1" male threads is used for irrigation systems and for piping in filtration systems of swimming lakes, pools, ornamental ponds, fish farming tanks, air conditioning distribution and similar. The elbow is used in places where a 90° bend needs to be made.
Fittings made of hardened PVC are mainly used for low-pressure irrigation systems and are not recommended for indoor installation in pressurized drinking water pipelines.
The threads of the plastic fitting need to be sealed with teflon tape or thread .
