The plastic T-piece with two 1" male threads is used for irrigation systems as well as for piping in filtration systems of swimming ponds, pools, ornamental basins, fish ponds, air conditioning distribution, etc. The fitting is used where it is necessary to branch or split the pipeline.
Hardened PVC fittings are primarily used in low-pressure irrigation systems and are not recommended for indoor installation in pressurized drinking water systems.
The threads of the plastic fitting need to be sealed with teflon tape or thread .
