The PP round water meter shaft 1300x1200 is made from polypropylene panels 6 and 8 mm thick, joined by welding. It is used to house a water meter when connecting a property to the water supply. The height of the water meter shaft is 1300 mm and the diameter of the shaft body is 1200 mm. Installing the water meter shaft: The shaft is sufficiently reinforced, so in cases where there is no groundwater present and the shaft will not be driven over or located near a road, it is enough to place the water meter shaft on a concrete base and backfill it evenly with sand or sifted soil. Even though this shaft is watertight, if groundwater is present, if it will be driven over, or if the shaft is located near a road, it must be encased in concrete to ensure groundwater cannot reach the shaft walls. We do not recommend using an incompletely backfilled water meter shaft, as it could be damaged during winter. It is prohibited to handle this water meter shaft at temperatures below -3 °C.
