The 3/4" water pressure reducing valve with filter and pressure gauge prevents impurities such as rust particles, sand grains and other debris from entering the drinking water system, while also maintaining a constant drinking water pressure in the system downstream of it. The package also includes a wrench for the filter nut and a drain valve. The 3/4" water pressure reducing valve with filter and pressure gauge protects the drinking water system from high pressure by reducing the outlet pressure from the valve to the selected level. The outlet pressure is adjustable and does not change with changes in inlet pressure. The outlet pressure can be set by turning the green control knob. For drinking water systems in households as well as commercial buildings, an outlet pressure of 4 bar is recommended. After each new setting of the required outlet pressure, the regulated system downstream of the valve should be opened and closed. The filter should be flushed at least once every 6 months, or more often if needed. On the bottom of the plastic bowl there is a drain valve, which should be fully opened and closed briefly 2 to 3 times to allow accumulated impurities to flow out of the filter screen and out of the system. If needed, a hose connection can be fitted to the external thread of the drain valve to direct the water containing impurities elsewhere via a hose. During filter cleaning, as well as during the backwash cycle, the supply of drinking water is uninterrupted. If necessary, the filter screen can be replaced with a new one. The wrench for releasing the plastic bowl is included with the filter or pressure reducing valve. Filter maintenance may only be carried out by professionally qualified personnel in accordance with DIN 1988, while observing the relevant standards and regulations.
