Q-termo TSW 15/14 Heating cable (power 15W/m) cable length: 14 m total power: 210W conductor thickness: 6.2 mm protection rating: IP X7 cord length: 3.5 m ( with plug) warranty: 2 years The TSW heating cable with self-regulating Thermo Switch thermostat is designed to protect any outdoor pipe against freezing. Its most common use is for outdoor water connections, drains and tanks. The cable construction consists of a “cold” supply cable with a plug for connection to a 230V socket ( length 3.5 m ), followed by an attached Thermo Switch thermostat and a heating end of various lengths. The heating cable is additionally fitted with a protective braid against electric shock. The cable works so that as soon as the attached thermostat detects a drop in pipe temperature below 3° C, it switches on and heats the pipe to a temperature of up to 15° C. It then switches off. The heating cable therefore has very low operating costs and stands out for its extremely long service life, guaranteed by its robust construction resistant to water, frost and rapid temperature changes. When installing on the pipe, it is recommended to use cable ties or adhesives that are resistant to high temperatures. Aluminum adhesive tape can also be used. The cable is two-core and has only one connecting wire. The thermostat is part of the cable, so there is no need to address regulation in any other way.
