Rectangular nozzles are used in narrow spaces to optimize irrigation of small grass areas. The Rain Bird 15-CST spray nozzle with a fixed pattern of 1.2 x 9.2m is designed for Rain Bird static sprinklers from the 1804 series as well as UNI-Spray. Another advantage of the fixed pattern is that all nozzles have the same precipitation rate, which greatly simplifies the design of the irrigation system. It comes with a filter located directly under the nozzle. The operating pressure ranges from 1 to 2.1 bar.

The choice of suitable nozzles depends on the dimensions of the individual irrigated areas. For areas up to 5m long, we recommend spray nozzles on static sprinklers, while for larger areas rotary sprinklers are more suitable. Within a single zone, sprinklers of the same type are always used, equipped with nozzles as needed; static and rotary sprinklers are never combined. Water consumption per zone must not exceed the pump output after subtracting all losses, and we aim for equal water consumption across all zones.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT NOZZLE

When planning the placement of nozzles, it is essential to follow the principle of mutual overlap between neighboring sprinklers. This means that the distance between sprinklers should correspond to the throw range of the nozzles. Based on this rule, it is possible to determine which nozzle should be chosen for a specific sprinkler.
