The Rain Bird R-VAN 15-SST rotary nozzle, designed for the medium-length long side with a fixed arc, ensures excellent uniformity of water spray over a rectangular area of 1.5 x 9.1 m. The precipitation rate of Rain Bird R-VAN type nozzles is optimized for the 5000 Plus MPR series of rotary sprinklers, achieving previously unmatched flexibility when designing an irrigation network. The low precipitation rate minimizes surface runoff and erosion. The stainless steel radius reduction screw, which allows adjustment of the throw distance, enables a more precise fit to the shape of the lawn. The operating pressure ranges from 2.1 to 3.8 bar.

Thanks to a 60% lower water consumption compared to spray sprinklers, R-VAN type nozzles are also useful for challenges such as excessive spacing, low pressure, or a low-capacity water source in irrigation systems. Adjusting the throw length and arc requires no tools; the nozzle can simply be turned by hand. For easy, debris-free maintenance, the new Pull Up feature allows the nozzle to be pulled up during irrigation, and the water pressure will immediately flush it out.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT NOZZLE

When planning the direct placement of nozzles, the rule of mutual overlap of neighboring sprinklers must be followed. This means that the distance between sprinklers should equal the throw range of the nozzles. Based on this, it is possible to determine which nozzle is suitable for a given sprinkler.
