Rectangular nozzles are used in narrow spaces to make irrigation of small lawn areas more efficient. The Rain Bird 15-EST spray nozzle with a fixed spray pattern of 1.2 x 4.6m is designed for static sprinklers of the 1804 series and UNI-Spray from Rain Bird. Thanks to the fixed spray pattern, all nozzles have the same precipitation rate, which greatly simplifies the design of the irrigation system. It is supplied together with a filter located directly under the nozzle. The operating pressure ranges from 1 to 2.1 bar.

The choice of nozzles depends on the dimensions of the individual irrigated areas. For areas up to 5m in length, spray nozzles on static sprinklers are used, while larger areas require rotary sprinklers. Within a single zone, only sprinklers of one type are used, fitted with nozzles as needed. Static and rotary sprinklers are never combined. The water consumption per zone must not exceed the pump's capacity after subtracting all losses. We try to maintain the same water consumption across all zones.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT NOZZLE

When designing the layout of nozzles, it is necessary to follow the principle of mutual overlap between neighboring sprinklers. This means that the distance between sprinklers should equal the throw range of the nozzles. Based on this, we can determine which nozzle should be chosen for a given sprinkler.
