Rectangular nozzles are used in narrow spaces to optimize irrigation of smaller lawn sections. The Rain Bird 15-LCS spray nozzle (left corner)
with a fixed pattern of 1.2 x 4.6m is designed for static sprayers of the 1804 series and UNI-Spray from manufacturer Rain Bird. The fixed pattern ensures that all nozzles have the same precipitation rate, which greatly simplifies the design of the irrigation system. The nozzle comes with a filter located directly beneath it, and its operating pressure ranges between 1 and 2.1 bar.

Choosing the right nozzles depends on the size of the individual irrigated zones. For areas up to 5m in length, spray nozzles on static sprayers are used, while larger areas require rotary sprayers. Within a single section, sprayers of the same type equipped with nozzles according to specific needs are always used without exception. Static and rotary sprayers are never combined. The total water consumption per section must not exceed the pump's capacity after subtracting all loss components. When designing all sections, care is taken to maintain uniform water consumption.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT NOZZLE

When planning the placement of nozzles, it is essential to follow the principle of mutual overlap between adjacent sprayers. This means that the distance between sprayers should correspond to the throw range of the nozzles. Based on this rule, it is possible to determine which nozzle should be selected for a given sprayer.
