Rectangular spray nozzles are used for efficient irrigation in narrow spaces, especially on small lawn areas. The Rain Bird 15-SST nozzle with a fixed pattern of 1.2 x 9.2m is suitable for both the 1804 series and UNI-Spray static sprinklers from Rain Bird. Thanks to the uniform pattern, all nozzles have the same precipitation rate, which significantly simplifies the design of the irrigation system. The product comes with a filter located directly beneath the nozzle and is designed for an operating pressure of 1 to 2.1 bar.

The choice of nozzle type depends on the dimensions of the individual irrigated areas. For areas up to 5 meters in length, spray nozzles on static sprinklers are used, while larger areas require rotary sprinklers. Within a single zone, only sprinklers of the same type equipped with nozzles as needed are used. Static and rotary sprinklers are never combined. The total water consumption per zone must not exceed the pump's capacity after deducting all losses, and we strive to maintain the same water consumption across all zones.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT NOZZLE

When planning the layout of nozzles, it is necessary to follow the principle of mutual overlap between neighboring sprinklers. This means that the distance between sprinklers should correspond to the throw range of the nozzles. Based on this rule, it is possible to determine the appropriate nozzle type for a specific sprinkler.
