The replacement BB (BigBlue - 4") filter cartridge made of molded polypropylene is designed for filtering mechanical impurities from water.
The PP filter cartridge prevents solid particles from entering the water system, such as:
- sand
- rust
- silt
- clay
- organic materials
These filters do not remove dissolved or very fine particles from water, which is why they are often used in combination with other water treatment devices. They are mostly used for pre-treatment of water or to protect equipment against mechanical impurities.
