The replacement filter BB (BigBlue - 4") cartridge made of melt-blown polypropylene is designed for filtering mechanical impurities from water.
The PP filter cartridge prevents solid particles from entering the water system, such as:
- sand
- rust
- silt
- clay
- organic materials
These filters do not remove dissolved or very fine particles from water, which is why they are often used in combination with other water treatment devices. Mostly they serve for water pre-treatment or to protect equipment against mechanical impurities.
