For the device to function reliably and efficiently, it is recommended that the inlet water meet the following parameters:

• Water pH range: 6.5 - 8.5
• Total dissolved solids (TDS): <1500 mg/l
• Water hardness: <500 mg/l CaCO₃ (<28 °dH)
• Free chlorine: <0.5 mg/l
• Iron content: <0.3 mg/l
• Manganese content: <0.05 mg/l
• Chemical oxygen demand (COD): <5 mg/l O₂
• Total microorganism count: <100 CFU/ml
