This most commonly used water system set is used for connecting a self-priming surface pump with a pressure tank as part of a home water pump station. The pressure switch has a switch-on and switch-off pressure. As the volume of water in the home water pump station decreases, the pressure in the pressure tank also drops below the minimum level, known as the switch-on pressure. At that point, the pressure switch turns on the self-priming pump. Once the required pressure in the system, also known as the switch-off pressure, is reached, the pressure switch turns off the pump.
