Single-module water softener HydroSoft ECONOMY for professional and industrial use
The industrial single-module water softener HydroSoft ECONOMY with a flow capacity of 3.6 m³/h is suitable for locations where water consumption is not continuous. This means, for example, that there is no water consumption during the night, and after the capacity is exhausted, the unit can automatically start regeneration of the cation exchange softening resin. This is especially important because during regeneration the control valve does not allow any water to pass into the system.
The automatic control valve type HYS-1 ensures the entire regeneration process fully automatically – without the need for intervention or supervision by a maintenance technician.
The regeneration time can be set to any hour when there is no water consumption (usually set to nighttime hours).
The volume of treated water is monitored by a small water meter turbine located at the outlet of the control valve. The only thing that needs to be checked regularly is the amount of salt in the brine tank, to always ensure a sufficient volume for trouble-free automatic regeneration.
The size of the unit should be chosen based on the required capacity so that regeneration does not occur more often than every 6 hours – this is the time needed for the salt to fully dissolve. It is optimal if regeneration takes place 1–2 times a week or once a day with higher water consumption.
Tested and approved for contact with drinking water
The HydroSoft® water softener has been tested and evaluated in an authorized laboratory and, based on documented results of leaching test analyses and applicable legislation, clearly meets the requirements for products intended for contact with drinking water in accordance with regulations on hygiene requirements for products coming into contact with drinking water and for water treatment.
We recommend
- Before the water softener, we recommend installing a mechanical pre-filter, which will prevent floating impurities (sand, rust, clay, etc.) from entering, which could damage the mechanical components of the softening unit.
- To select the correct size, you need to know the water hardness value, the peak hourly and average monthly water consumption, and last but not least, also take into account other values such as iron, manganese, ammonia and organic water pollution. For this, it is necessary to have, or if you do not, to have a water analysis performed.
