The SmartShunt monitor is a new model of a highly accurate monitoring system for the status of up to two independent batteries without a display.
SmartShunt is a battery monitor just like the BMV series, only without a display. Your smartphone with the VictronConnect app becomes the display. You can download the VictronConnect app for free on Google Play or in the App Store.
SmartShunt connects via Bluetooth to the VictronConnect app on your smartphone (or tablet), allowing you to conveniently read all monitored battery parameters, such as state of charge, historical information, and much more.
Alternatively, SmartShunt can be connected to and read by a GX device. The connection to SmartShunt is made using a VE.Direct cable.
SmartShunt is a good alternative to the BMV battery monitor, especially for systems where battery monitoring is required, but less cabling and no classic display are needed.
SmartShunt is equipped with a Bluetooth interface, a VE.Direct port, and a connection that can be used to monitor a second battery, for mid-point monitoring, or to connect a temperature sensor.
