Are you looking for an efficient, reliable and maximally cost-saving solution for solar water heating or heating? The ECO Solar Boost EVO series inverters represent a new generation of renowned and recognized devices that allow direct use of photovoltaic panels to power heating equipment without the need for a grid connection (on-grid) or purchasing expensive batteries.
This series was designed based on extensive engineering experience and valuable customer feedback. In addition, it features even greater reliability and an optimized architecture thanks to artificial intelligence (AI) support in the design process.
Main advantages of the EVO series inverters:
High performance and improved algorithm.
Maximum gains thanks to MPPT: The integrated MPPT algorithm allows the inverter to intelligently and automatically regulate the amount of energy transferred to the heater, maximizing the energy obtained from the photovoltaic panels in all weather conditions.
Priority dual output (2× mains socket). The system allows the connection of two heating devices (e.g. two boilers), whereby the device on output 1 heats up first. Output 2 automatically starts when the thermostat of the first device reaches the required temperature and stops drawing energy.
Comprehensive electronic protection: the device has built-in protection against overload, short circuit, overvoltage and overheating (thermal protection at 80 °C). In the event of any anomaly, the inverter safely shuts down and signals a fault by flashing the green or red LED.
⚠️ IMPORTANT WIRING NOTES:
Output number 1 (Priority): Intended for all heating devices, including those with electronic controllers.
Output number 2 (Dependent): Intended exclusively for operating heating devices with a bimetallic thermostat. Heating devices with electronic controllers must not be operated on this output.
Wide range of practical applications
The ECO Solar Boost EVO inverter allows powering a wide range of purely resistive heating devices directly from photovoltaic panels:
Water heating: photovoltaic heating for boilers, water heaters and storage tanks.
Building heating: direct power supply to electric radiators, direct-heating heating elements and convectors.
Modern heating systems: ideal for infrared (IR) heaters and electric heating mats.
Easy installation and low costs:
The whole system is very easy to install and does not require complex commissioning. It consists of only three basic elements:
- ECO Solar Boost EVO MPPT-4000.
- Photovoltaic panels: Several standard photovoltaic panels with a power of 400-700 W connected in series or series-parallel using standard integrated MC4 connectors. The total system voltage must be in the range of 120 - 300 V ($V_{oc}$ at 25 °C), while the absolute operating maximum of the inverter is 120 - 350 V DC.
- Appliance (energy receiver): Any compatible resistive heating device with a power of 200 - 4000 W equipped with a conventional heater (cartridge) "How to choose the right heater (cartridge)?" The correct choice of heater ensures the highest efficiency of the entire water heating system and guarantees that the integrated MPPT algorithm can adapt the load resistance and make the most of the panels.
