This kit does not include a battery. If you don't have an onboard battery in your caravan, we recommend choosing a sealed battery type AGM, GEL, or LiFePo4 from the solar battery section.

The Victron Energy LCD&USB 10A solar controller takes care of completely unattended operation of this system, and has a clear integrated LCD display. It provides you with interesting information about the operation of the whole system. On the front of the solar controller you will also find two USB outputs suitable, for example, for charging mobile phones. After installation, you select one of four preset battery types: AGM, GEL, liquid, or LiFePO4
The kit includes a set of two 7m long cables. The ends of the cables have crimped MC4 connectors used for connecting to the solar panel. Part of the cable is also used to connect the solar controller and the battery – on this cable you only need to install a fuse disconnector as close to the battery as possible according to the diagram. The installing electrician will fit the ends of the cables leading to the solar controller with ferrules. At the battery, the cable is terminated with suitable eyelets, depending on the battery type.
How to choose the right solar system?
Multiply the consumption of individual devices powered by the solar system in Watts by the number of hours of expected operation per day. The result will be the total need in Wh (watt-hours) per day. If this number is lower than the values given for individual seasons, the system's output is sufficient; otherwise, a more powerful system must be chosen.
