20A MPPT controller for all available battery types with a system voltage of 12V or 24V, and for PV panels with a maximum power of 260W (12V) or 520W (24V) with a maximum input voltage of 100V and a minimum input voltage 1V higher than the battery charging voltage. It is therefore also suitable for panels with a system voltage of 12V that generate 16-18V at maximum load. This controller uses an internal inverter to adjust the V-A characteristics of the current source - the solar panel - to be optimal for charging the battery. It can make better use of the energy from solar panels than a PWM controller, which regulates charging only by pulse-limiting the direct connection between the solar panel and the battery, where the pulse width is proportional to the state of the battery being charged. In other words, the MPPT controller can generate the ideal voltage and current for charging the battery from a source with higher voltage and lower current. For example, 18 V and 5 A is converted to 14.5 V/6.2 A. The efficiency of the V-A conversion is usually above 95%, so losses are minimal, and the controllers can usually be adapted to different battery types to provide the most optimal charging. The integrated Bluetooth module (Solarlife app) can monitor operating status and parameters in real time.

Turn on the controller on a 12V battery and connect it via the app. In Battery param and Advanced settings, change Rated voltage to 24V and select SEND, then disconnect the controller and reconnect it to 24V. Everything should then be fine. Alternatively, you can change the Rated Voltage to AUTO, and it will again automatically detect 12 or 24 V.
